The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
We had the opportunity to vacation at The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa during Walt Disney World’s Marathon Weekend. Located on the monorail line next door to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Villas combine “the luxury of the Victorian era with modern amenities.”
The Grand Floridian is posh and The Villas, although much smaller, still have the same grand, ornate feeling. “The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa reflect the elegant features and ambiance of its sister resort hotel. The story behind Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa begins in the late 1890s, when Florida was established as a vacation destination for well-heeled visitors who turned the beaches along both shores of the Sunshine State into their personal winter playgrounds.”
We were staying in one of the 3-bedroom Grand Villas, room 1101. ABC had recently filmed an episode of The Middle in this villa.
This Villa was located on the main level. All rooms of the unit were on the same level with Magic Kingdom views.
There were two entrances to the Grand Villa. Above is the main entrance. The villa has a 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. There is a laundry and a media room. The master bath has a tub big enough to swim in and a separate shower that can hold at least 6 adults. There are two other bedrooms which can sleep 4 each. Both have bathrooms. You could get lost in this villa. It is extraordinary. These Villas are beautiful. Simply beautiful. I’m a Disney Vacation Club member and would consider adding on points in this resort, I was that impressed. Darling you really must stay a night or two.
