Disney’s Beach Club Villas

Picture 277One of my all-time favorite places to stay on-property, especially during the hot Florida summer, is Disney’s Beach Club Villas.  Beach Club is located right across from our home resort of Disney’s Boardwalk Villas, but has a totally different atmosphere.

Picture 275We have  stayed in studios on all our visits to Beach Club.  Each studio has the standard DVC queen-size bed and sleeper sofa, plus a kitchenette with microwave, coffeemaker and mini-fridge.  Beach Club is a short boat-ride or walk to both Epcot & Hollywood Studios, but what sets it apart from every single other Disney property is the pool – Stormalong Bay.

Stormalong Bay is a sand-bottomed winding pool with currents, jets and a shipwreck waterslide.  There are also shallow sand dunes for the kids to play in scattered around.

Picture 289My favorite place to enjoy a treat at Bay Lake is Beaches and Cream Soda Shop.  Here you can enjoy the famous “Kitchen Sink.”  My husbands favorite place to eat on property – for the mussels – is Cape May Cafe.

The Ship Shape health club is open 24/7 and is outstanding.  Tip:  if staying here and checking out at 11am the showers are available to use prior to leaving property for a late-night flight.
